TEXT: Heb.11:21

INTRODUCTION

Jacob, is a man who through several encounters with God and divinely orchestrated experiences had his earlier nature of a deceiver and a cheat dealt with. He was transformed as he wrestled all night long with the Angel of the Lord, who at almost the breaking of the day had to give him a new name, a new nature and a new purpose. This particular encounter changed him for good and he became a man of faith, love and peace. He now had a purpose for living and combined this well with the presence of God that he now enjoyed.
