INTRODUCTION

It is a taboo(forbidden, unmentionable, banned) to say l am not born again
The society is no longer qualified or adequately prepared to raise a child
The church must stop having a church .It must start being the church. We cannot longer have church as usual

The Church must come out of wall and begin to impact the world through a display of the love of Christ and a demonstration of the power of Christ.

SERMON

Inside our walled fortresses, we have carried out our religious exercises- singing, prayer, preaching, giving while the society lies in ruins
Church! This is your day
We must rise up & take responsibility. Government alone cannot do it.
They are running to us
We also must run to God for a new empowerment & a fresh filling of the love of God
We are call to be the light of the world
Let us set godly standards, a good example.
It is the church who must set up and establish integrity and biblical standards
We have the anointing, wisdom, understanding
The power and penalty of sin has raised its ugly, horrible, nasty and hideous head in the society
Our strength is our unity and it is the great desire and passion of the Lord that we are one
We are all body of Christ & together we will forged to form a formidable team & force that cannot be resisted
We must begin to walk our faith & believe that we can make the difference in turning our society, our environment for Jesus for
The Church should be sanctuary of life for the society, not a stronghold that extinguish them from the life of God
Let us remove all the self created walls around us
Let us expand the borders of our territories for Jesus
Our schools are war zones
Families are devastated
Society is dysfunctional
The Churches are in the society & they lived in fear of them.
They are more concerned about people breaking in to their beautiful facilities than them breaking out into the neighborhood with the power of the glorious gospel of our lord
The time is now! Revival must start
While we are taking about revival, some things must not be overlooked or taken for granted

Grace is free but it is not cheap
There is a price to be paid for the outburst of revival
The bible say If my people , who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heavens and will forgive their sins and will heal their land (2 Chro 7:14)
Humble is the first prerequisite-(Isa 66:2), Seek him-prayer is the second(Jer. 33:3)
Do we want Revival
God is ready to graciously visit us, but do we want revival
A mere yes without a corresponding action will be ineffective and unfortunate.
It may cost you all you have, let us pay the price, Church. God is faithful
John 15:5,8
As we read in the text & esp. in the epistles, you will see the phrase such as ‘In him, in whom, through whom
This speaks of our union with him & our legal standing place in the family of God
As believe. We are in Christ so we have his name
As believe we are in Christ so we have his name
Through our union with him, we can take that name & bear fruit for the kingdom of our Saviour
We are Christ representative
God made a tremendous benefits available to us because we are in him
In him we have the right to use his name

We are is authorized representative on earth
e.g in a coy or product making, only authorized personnel
2 Cor 5:20- as His representative, we have certain authority : To use his name & bear much fruit through our union with him
We are joint – heir with Christ: Rom 8:17
We are sent forth in this earth to work on his behalf
You should talk on his behave
You should behave like him
Dress like him
See like him
Hear like him
You keep malice, you gossip,
Sell, buy, pray, intercede
we need to understand who we are in Christ that we have the right to the name of Christ because we are in him
Apart from him, we are nothing – John 15:5

Who is he ? He is Christ
Heb 13:8-He is the same! We are to take his name & do all he did in this world

As his rep: we are to heal deli, show people his love, point people to him & introduce them to Jesus, our savior, deliver, healer
This is part of the fruit, we are to bear in his name
Whatever the need of mankind, Jesus can meet!
My Jesus today. My Jesus tomorrow. My Jesus forever. You are the only wise God

He paid the price with his body, and blood

We have his name
I can see the harvest. The field is ripe
In yr compound, yr environment, offices/ business places, bus-stop
The ultimate goal of every Christians is to win the lost to Christ
Let us ripe the harvest
There are thousands of people around you daily.
How will they hear about Jesus
How can they believe except they hear
And how can they hear the gospel except someone goes there to preach it

I see a great imbalance between the harvest field & the laborers

MUST YOU WIN SOUL FOR CHRIST- BENEFIT OF SOUL WINNIN

1 Soul winning gives meaning to Christianity
2 Soul winning gives great joy-Lk10:1-3;17. There is joy when a soul is saves. Only a mother can explain how she feels after her baby is born
3 Soul winning energizes Christians: In my dept, we are energized & s/w always leads to church growth
4 Soul winning is the heartbeat of Jesus: His coming is to reconcile us & save souls-Lk 19:10
5 Soul winning generates divine support: s/w generates heavenly joy Lk 15:7,10. Churches must know why we exist: to generate souls for heaven. Embassies rep government, churches are heavenly embassies
6 Soul winning leads to divine protection: Ps 91 says God will keep & protect you because you have set your love on him. Ps 91:14-16.
When yo u set your love to on God to please him, God says that He will deliver u
Paul had experienced near-death situations
In labour; In stripes above measure; In prisons more frequently; In death oft; In beating; stoned; shipwreck
In all God saved &delivered him
Do you want to stay in the will of God, do you want the church to grow
