REPAIRING THE BREACH (II)

Text: ISA. 58:12; 61:4; MTTH.23:29-36(NLT)

LEGALITY
· The throne room is a court room.
· The FATHER is the decision maker (Judge).
· JESUS is at the right hand of the FATHER interceeding (defense attorney). (JESUS will be the judge at the “Great White Throne Judgement Seat”…but FATHER currently makes all FINAL decisions).
· Satan is the accuser of the brethren (Prosecution attorney),
· Satan comes before the throne and shows legal rights to attack your body or finances. It is decided on if the claims are valid…he is allowed to do as petitioned against you/your family. E.g
o Demonic resistance to Daniel in Dan.10:11-13
o Demonic accusations preventing the release of blessings intended Hos.7:1
o The spirit of error or wrong doing 1kings 22:20-22
FOOTING FOR SATAN’S LEGAL RIGHT – Deuteronomy 27
· Making an idol or idolatry (vs. 15)
· Dishonoring father or mother – rebellion (16)
· Moving a neighbor’s boundary marker – dishonesty (17)
· Misleading a blind person on the road – malice (18)
· Depriving the alien, the orphan and the widow of justice (19)
· Sexual – lying with his father’s wife – adultery (20)
· Sexual – lying with an animal – bestiality (21)
· Sexual – lies with his sister – incest (22)
· Sexual – lies with his mother-in-law – fornication, adultery (23)
· Killing a neighbor – murder (24)
· Taking a bribe to kill (25)
· Disobedience concerning the law of God (26)
These are a sampling of the multitude of sins that can put curses into effect.
THE RESULT: curses – Deuteronomy 28:15-65
The curses affect our lives in the areas of:
· Humiliation,
· Barrenness or Unfruitfulness or repeated abortions,
· Mental and Physical sickness,
· Family Problems, Poverty,
· Defeatism,
· Oppression,
· Premature or untimely death – Visit any website on the Kennedy of America and that of induaGhand: and her sons
· Failure and Lack of Favor.

Two Examples
I. THE DOWNFALL & DESTRUCTION OF ABIMELECH – Judges 9
· Abimelech’s rebellion – the slave woman’s son incited the lords of Shechem
· His acts of murder – 69 brothers were killed
· The curse of Jothan – Judges 9:19-20 – A pronouncement of judgment
“If, I say, you have acted in good faith and honor with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you; but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the lords of Shechem, and Beth-millo; and let fire come out from the lords Shechem, and Beth-millo, and devour Abimelech.”
· An evil spirit was permitted to work between Abimelech and the lords of Shechem – because the hand or the covering of God was with drawn
· The resulting hostility led to their deaths
· The curse was fulfilled – Judges 9:57
“And God also made all the wickedness of the people of Shechem fall back on their heads, and on them came the curse of Jotham, son of Jerubbaal.

II. THE DOWNFALL & DESTRUCTION OF AHAB – 1 Kings 16-22
· Ahab took Jezebel as his wife and served Baal (16:13)
· Ahab was extremely wicked (16:33)
· Israel was judged because of his sins (18:1-18)
· Elijah’s prophetic curse – A pronouncement of judgment
“. . . Thus says the Lord: In the place where dogs licked up the blood of Naboth, dogs will also lick up your blood.” (21:19)
“. . . Because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, I will bring disaster on you; I will consume you, and will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel.” (21:20-21)
“. . . The dogs shall eat Jezebel within the bounds of Jezreel.” (21:23)
· The prophetic curse was fulfilled
· Three years of war between the King of Aram & Israel
· Ahab gathered 400 prophets to seek their counsel
· The prophets prophesied victory (22:6)
· Micaiah the prophet was summoned – he prophesied defeat (22:17) – the king was angry
· Micaiah revealed a vision (22:19-22)
· He saw God on his throne asking the question, “who will entice Ahab?”
· Different responses were given – then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord saying, “I will entice him.” “How?” the Lord asked him. “I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.
· The Lord responded – “You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do it.”
· Micaiah’s closing comment
“So now the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.” (22:23)
o King Ahab commanded that Micaiah be put into prison
o The king went to battle in spite of Micaiah’s warning – He disguised himself, but was mortally wounded by an arrow that pierced him between his armor. The king apparently bled to death in his chariot. When his chariot was washed by the pool of Samaria, the dogs licked up his blood.
These two accounts show us that a curse is a means of some type of judgment and often evil spirits can be used by God in spite of their evil agenda. God often used Israel’s wicked enemies to bring judgment against His people.

HOW DO I BREAK THE PATTERN ONCE AND FOR ALL?
Generally speaking, it is the Holy Spirit that can actually help in this regard. For some people, some period of fasting may be required. Direction of the Holy Spirit and a personal desire to be free is very critical.
1. Allow the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance the sins and iniquities of your forefathers and confess them. Do not condemn them! (Don’t look at their sins and say ‘your sins are all their fault’). No! You are fully responsible for your own sins.
2. Personally forgive your forefathers of their iniquity.
3. Ask God to forgive the sins of your living forefathers. Don’t look at yourself as a victim. You are not a victim. You are a victor!
4. Confess your participation in the iniquity of your family tree.
5. Ask God to forgive and cleanse you. Once you accept your part in the iniquities you’ve been involved in, ask God to forgive and cleanse you.
6. Submit your will to God.
7. Jesus suffered the curse and overcame the devil for you. Jesus is our way out.
8. God has all authority. The iniquity in your life does not have all authority in your life. The thing that you’re going through does not have control over your life.
9. Use the authority of the name of Jesus. Apply the name of Jesus to your family iniquity.
10. Declare the power of the blood of Jesus. Jesus purchased your freedom from every family iniquity with His precious blood.
11. Declare your family curses broken!
12. Speak blessings over yourself and your children.
· “Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.” (Genesis 4:11)
· “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” (Genesis 12:3)
· “Will anyone rob God? Yet you are robbing me! But you say, ‘How are we robbing you?’ In the tithes and offerings! You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me – the whole nation of you!” (Malachi 3:8-9)
II. Scriptures on generational and ancestral Curses
· “The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.” (Numbers 14:18 – also – Exodus 20:5; 34:7; and 1 Samuel 2:30-33)
· “Therefore I bring charges against you again, declares the Lord. and I will bring charges against your children’s children. (Jeremiah 2:9)
· “May his blood fall upon the head of Joab and upon all his father’s house! May Joab’s house never be without someone who has a running sore or leprosy or who leans on a crutch or who falls by the sword or who lacks food.” (2 Samuel 3:29)
· “If you do not listen, and if you do not set your heart to honor my name, says the Lord Almighty, I will send a curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not set your heart to honor me. Because of you I will rebuke your descendants. (Malachi 2:2-3)
Generational or Ancestral curses are similar to the curse of original sin, only they have a temporal effect rather than eternal.
LEVITICUS 26:40 (KJV)
If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

LEVITICUS 26:42 (KJV)
Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with
Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
We must con and forgive our fathers and forefathers iniquities. Then God will remember His covenant with us.

NEHEMIAH 9:2 (KJV)
And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

JEREMIAH 14:20 (KJV)
We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.

God had promised Daniel that after 70 years he would lead them out to the Promised Land. Seventy years were almost up and they were still in Babylon in bondage. There was a promise there that wasn’t being fulfilled. Why? You’ve got a promise for your deliverance in your life. What’s holding up your deliverance…?
Daniel began to fast and pray.

DANIEL 9:5 (KJV)
We have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from they precepts and from thy judgments:

DANIEL 9:16 (KJV)
O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

When Daniel confessed and asked forgiveness for the iniquities of his forefathers, the curse was lifted and the promise was released to come on them
MATTHEW 23:29-36
29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
