NEW BEGINNING

Topic: Making a success of My New Beginning

TEXT: Isa.42:9; Rev.21:5

INTRODUCTION

For two weeks now, we have been looking at the subject of New Beginning being a prophetic word and direction that God gave us. Not everyone that has opportunity to do a thing all over again make success out of it. A good number succeed while others fail. For example:

• Moses-succeeded the 2nd time in Egypt
• Joshua-succeeded the 2nd time at Ai
• Saul failed on the 2 occasions he was tested-1Sam13:7-15; 15:1-11, 22.
• The unforgiving servant failed at his new beginning also Matth.18:21-34.

What do I as a minister consider as key success factors for any new beginning?

Today, we’ll look at Eight(8) things we should keep in mind to ensure a success at this new opportunity.

a. Establish an Altar
b. Prayers
c. Divine Direction
d. Faith
e. Service
f. Association
g. Information
h. Hardwork

i. Establish an Altar
– Have a definite church family
– It is not good for man to be alone
– Abraham –Any wher he went before any business, he built an altar. –Gen.12:7,13:4,18,22:9
– Elijah –at the New beginning for Israel at carmal – Ikings 18:30
ii. Prayers – Lu18:1,Jam5:16-18,
Heb.5:7 e.g –Ezra, Nehamiah, David
iii. Divine Direction –Matth.10:1-10, John5:30
– Impact is impossible without access to divine directions.
– Following His leading is the master key to exploits.
iv. Faith – Heb.11:1; 2Chor.20:20, Isa.7:9; 1Thes.2:13
v. Service – IIKings 3:11;2:12 -Breaks the back of delay
Abraham – Isaac
Rachel – Joseph
Zechariah – John the baptist

vi. Associtation –Gen.12:4;13:5

Some bring:
* Progress –Lot – Gen.12:4;13:5
* Stagnation – Abraham/Lot -Gen.13:14-18
* Death –Amon/Jonadab- ISam.13:3-6
Association made a difference in the life of
– Joseph –Gen.41
-David – Isam.16
– Relationship can give what revelation or money may not be able to give.

vi Information – Prov.11:9, Dan.9:2
– Relevant infomationpeople to relevant action
– God will give you a dream but the information fot its fulfilment is up to you- Matth.25:15

vii Hardwork – Jacob –Gen.30-33
-Pray as if all depends on prayers and work as if all depends on work.
– No great vision ever fulfils itself. It has to be driven by hard work –John 5:17
