FULFILLED WORD – Integrity of the Word

TOPIC: Integrity of the Word

TEXT: Isaiah 55: 6 – 13; Psalm 119: 89 – 91

Isaiah 55: 6 – 13

8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Psalm 119: 89 – 91

89. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91. They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

2 Samuel 22: 31 – 32; (Psalm 18: 30 – 31)

31. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that
trust in him.
32. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

Genesis 8: 20 – 22

20. And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean
fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse
the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth;
neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

The above scripture lays the foundation of the acceptable pattern of living for man to live like Him (Hebrews 11: 3; 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear)

ABRAHAM

GOD MAKES THE PROMISE

God made two major promises to Abram;

When he was 75 years old that he will make of him a great nation, bless him, make his name great, and make him a blessing

Genesis 12: 1 – 4

1. Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and
from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee
2. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and
thou shalt be a blessing
3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed.
4. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram
was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran

After he was separated from Lot that his descendants will be numerous, and will inherit Canaan

Genesis 13: 14 – 17

14. And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine
eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and
westward:
15. For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the
earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto
thee.
