It Is Time

(A) Intro

Life is about processes resulting in events. Like in the natural a farmer sows a seed, he waters, and weeds, keep watch of the tender plant because of the expected due season i.e. the harvest. Prov.23:18. All the farmer does is with this expectation in mind. Time is a sifter, a leveler and a proofer for every man. It is possible to be a head, or behind of time but most appropriate to be just in time i.e God’s time- Ecc.9:11

1) WHO WAS ELIJAH?
His name meant –My God is Jehovah i.e The Lord.
He was from Tishbeh in Gilead – from one of the 10 tribes in Israel.
In the midst of apostasy, God raised Him. i.e Personal circumstances/ challenge may not be able to hold God back from accomplishing what He has intended in your life e.g Joseph- Psm.105:19.
He was a man of like passion as we are: i.e He had his own issues and limitations:-
He had to pray – IKings 18:42-45
Was fearful/scared especially of Jezebel. – Ikings 19:1-4.
He sat under the Juniper Tree i.e His spirit was broken, He Labored, had anxious moments and disappointment.
He despaired of life itself! –Ikings 19:4-8
He knew loneliness and what it meant to wait for prayers to be answered by God! – Ikings 19:9-11
Severally he was faced with possibilities of failure. Have you been there? When you call and seems God is so far away?

2) WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WAIT?
Especially when it appears He doesn’t care about you. – Psm.130:5-6

3) THE PAINS OF WAITING
Delay and waiting for God knows when could be painful. Psm.119:123
Can there be rain without clouds?
Can a woman deliver a baby without pains?
Waiting is all part of the program
