HIS GOODNESS – PURPOSE OF PARTNERSHIP

INTRODUCTION

When God created man, he planned for man to have partnership with him in the governing of His creation. Gen.1:26 “…Le t us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion …” But this was lost to the devil when Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of evil and good and man fell from the position of glory and was chased from the garden. – So he does not eat of the fruit of the tree of life and remain in an eternal state of damnation.
So God made plan for man to be redeemed

He sent Moses, the judges, kings and prophet and when man could not be reconciled back to God,
He decided to come as God –man, He came through the changing room (womb) of Mary.

THE PARTNERSHIP
In Matt.9:36-38. He saw man is a depraved state having departed from God and if nothing is done urgently, the destiny of such men is in hell. So he calls us into partnership with him in sharing the heart beat of God – which is reconciling men back to God.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY IN THE PARTNERSHIP
VS 37-38 Jesus place 3 responsibility on his disciples

See the harvest: We are to observe and understand the reality of the human condition
We must know that not everyone is saved and if nothing is done, they are at the verge of eternal damnation.
Then allow God to burden your heart with this specific need.
‘Pray ye therefore’ – This is a call to be broken and burdened over the plight of the lost.

Ps.126:5-6 “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping bearing seeds for sowing. Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him”
This is the price to be paid as our part of the partnership – Why?
Because the winning of souls must be proceed with the weeping for souls.

The sowing in tears here speaks of a heart that is broken in prayers for others. As we engage in battle on our knees – the Holy Spirit swings to action to convict.
Go (Matt.10:6) “but go rather” – it isn’t enough to see the need nor is it enough to pray for the lost and concerned for their souls.

Jesus desire that each of us do the work of an evangelist.

The instruction is ‘go ye’ – Matt.28:19 “…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

Act 1:8b “…and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem wall, Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.
PURPOSE OF THE PARTNERSHIP

Destroy the works of the devil – 1Jn.3:8
Restore man back to his position of honour and dominion
Establish the kingdom of God and His Christ here on earth.

BENEFIT OF THE PARTNERSHIP
As you play your part in this partnership certain benefits begin to show forth in your life.

Your prayers receive speedy answer – Jn.15:16
Growth is assured in your life – Jn.15:1-2
God will make your life attractive – Dan.12:3

1 Cor 3:9
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
2Cor 5:18-20
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Matt 9:36-38
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Ezek 33:6
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:1-2
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Dan 12:3
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
