ENFORCING THE PROMISE

INTRO

Every prophecy or promise of God to you requires your input to be fulfilled.
Wear out – Prov.13:12

WEAR OUT – CHAMBERS DICTIONARY:
” Impair by use i.e dissipation of energy and frustration.
” To render or become useless through age, use or decay i.e delay /waste of time
” To exhaust or consume threadbare through use i.e within or insight of the promise but you can’t seem to touch it
” To harass tire out or diminish
” To develop a hole through friction –
” To diminish and be overcomed through resistance. i.e faith begins to fail
” To alter the course as in a ship by allowing the wind to determine course. i.e give up – adopt the what will be will be mentality

A. INTERNAL INPUTS

i. You must know or receive the word – Rom.10:17, Heb.11:7-8,12
i.e you are important. God needs your life because God almost always gets God involved in all He does on each. E.g
– Creation of the woman – Adam – Gen.2.
– Salvation for humanity
” Noah – Gen.6-8
” Abraham – Gen.12
– Preservation of Israel
* Joseph – Gen.39:50
– The birth of Jesus Christ
– The prayers of Simeon and Anna Lu.1
– Mary and Joseph – Lu.1
– John the Baptism – Lu.1:80
ii. Put away or aside every tradition – Matth.15:4-6 Traditions – mindset formed by practice handed down – Judges 4:9, Deborah, Acts 10:9-17
iii. See the promise and its fulfillment and no other thing -Rom.4: 16-21- This happened in the place of prayer – Gen.15:5-6; 22:17
iv. Vocalize and or confess the promise -Heb.3:1;10:35-336 Gen.30:22-24

i. You must pray and speak it into being
” Abraham – Gen.15
” Israel from Egypt -Gen.15: 13-14; Exo.2: 23-25
” Israel in repentance 2Chron.7: 14-15
” Nehemiah with his commission – Neh.4:7-9
” Jeremiah’s Prophecy – Jer.29:10-14
” Daniels Discovery – Dan.9:2-4
” Our Lord Jesus -Lu.18:1;Matth.26:36-46; Heb.5:7
ii. Maintain you stand – Eph.6:10-14
” Recognize the element of time and season – Ecc.3:1;Dan.2:21; Ecc.9:11
” Give it time – John4: 50-52; Heb.10: 35-39
” Count Him faithful – Heb.11:8-11
