Divine Connection – A Message Of Supernatural Lifting

Divine connection focused bible passage: Mark 3:13–15:

13 And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. 14 And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach 15 and have authority to cast out demons.

Introduction: What Will Connect You to Supernatural Lifting?

In this year of supernatural lifting, there is an important question each of us must answer if we are to experience the elevation we envision:

What must I be connected to in order to experience my lifting this year?

The kind of lifting we are speaking about is not ordinary—it is spiritual and supernatural. It goes beyond logic or effort. It defies natural expectations. In such lifting, the hand of God is clearly at work, and human limitations are overruled.

To experience this, you must actively align and connect yourself with something greater—something that carries power, purpose, and promise.

What Is Connection?

Before diving deeper, let’s understand what it truly means to connect.

So to connect means:

  • To tie or fasten together
  • To establish a relationship or bond
  • To associate or be linked
  • To develop a sense of understanding or rapport
  • To align yourself with something meaningful and significant

So, we ask again:

What can I be fastened to this year that will bring about my lifting?

This connection must not be random. It must meet specific criteria:

  • It should be something or someone that has something to offer.
  • It must be of a higher spiritual or practical level.
  • It must be empowered or already walking in divine alignment.

Let’s explore this with real-life illustrations:

  • David Yonggi Cho – His connection to his mother-in-law was not initially by choice, but it led him into a deep life of prayer and power.
  • Hillary Clinton – Her connection to her husband opened her eyes to the political world, setting her on the path to pursuing the presidency.

Clearly, the right connection can birth a destiny shift.

Biblical Ways of Connecting for Lifting

Scripture reveals several powerful ways people connected and experienced supernatural transformation. Let’s walk through them one by one.

1. By Birth – The Sons of Joseph

Joseph’s sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, were born as grandchildren of Jacob. But in a remarkable move, Jacob elevated them to the status of sons, giving them the same rights and inheritance as Reuben and Simeon.

Why? Because Jacob was a carrier of the Abrahamic blessing, and by adoption, he tied them into the covenant lineage. Their connection by birth gave them access to supernatural blessings they were not originally entitled to.

Sometimes your family line can become the gateway to divine inheritance.

2. By Decision – The Shunammite Woman (2 Kings 4:8–17)

Another profound way of connecting is through deliberate decisions based on spiritual insight.

  • The Shunammite woman observed Elisha and perceived he was a man of God.
  • She made a decision to create space for him—literally and spiritually—by offering hospitality.
  • Her intentional kindness could not go unnoticed. Verse 13 makes it clear that her decision activated a spiritual reward.
  • She had no formal relationship with the prophet, but her actions connected her to the source of power.

Result: The yoke of barrenness was broken permanently.
Even death could not erase what her divine connection brought.

Discernment and hospitality can open doors to the miraculous.

3. By Relationship – Widow of the Prophet (2 Kings 4:1–7)

In this story, the widow benefited not because of her own merit, but through the relationship her late husband had with the prophet Elisha.

Similarly, in 1 Samuel 22:2 and 2 Samuel 23, the men who joined David while he was hiding in the cave of Adullam became known as David’s mighty men. Their greatness came not from their background but from association with the anointed.

The right relationships can elevate you from insignificance to influence.

4. By Choice – Ruth’s Story of Loyalty and Lifting

The story of Ruth teaches us that choices carry consequences.

A Series of Choices:

  • Elimelech made a decision to leave Bethlehem during a famine.
  • His sons, Mahlon and Chilion, also made choices that, while logical at the time, led to their demise.
  • Ultimately, Naomi is left widowed and childless in a foreign land.

Then comes Ruth.

Despite her pain and uncertainty, Ruth makes a powerful, sacrificial choice (Ruth 1:14–18):

  • To go wherever Naomi goes
  • To live wherever Naomi lives
  • To adopt Naomi’s people as her own
  • To make the God of Naomi her God
  • To die and be buried where Naomi is buried
  • To let nothing but death separate her from Naomi

This was not just a sentimental decision—it was a covenantal alignment.

By choosing Naomi’s God and people, Ruth rejected false religion and aligned herself with the true God. She entered a divine lineage that led to the birth of Obed, the grandfather of King David, and ultimately connected her to the lineage of Jesus Christ.

The Blessings of Divine Connection

Let’s highlight what supernatural lifting looks like when we connect rightly:

Temporal Blessings

  • Ruth moved from a foreigner and a widow to a wealthy and respected woman.
  • She married Boaz, a man of influence, and gained societal restoration.

Eternal Blessings

  • She became part of God’s redemptive story.
  • She is named in the genealogy of Jesus (Matthew 1:5).

The right connection does not only change your current situation—it can echo into eternity.

Lessons on Choices and Consequences

In our pursuit of lifting this year, remember:

  • Not every choice is between good and bad—some are between good and better.
  • Every decision must be made with the word of God as your compass.

As Jesus said in Matthew 6:33:

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Ruth made that choice. She served humbly. She gleaned in fields as a servant before being lifted to the status of a landowner’s wife. Likewise, she also ministered to her mother-in-law before being honored in Israel’s history.

From nobody to somebody – your lifting can happen when your connection is right.

Conclusion: Divine connection

So, the choice is yours.

  • Will you grumble and cry through another year?
  • Or will you seek divine connection and positioning for your supernatural lifting?

This year, choose wisely. Choose to connect—to God, to His Word, to His people, and to the right mentors and relationships. Your lifting is not far; it may be one decision, one relationship, or one act of discernment away.
